911 Junk Out

About 911 Junk Out

Ice arrives in this part of the Tennessee Valley without much warning — a wet night, a hard hour before dawn, and Apison Pike turns to glass. 911 Junk Out answers that hour. Plow blades down, salt in the hopper, driveways and lots opened up while the porch lights are still the brightest things on the street. By the time the first cars roll toward Ooltewah, the pavement is dark and wet and honest again. There is a particular satisfaction in a driveway that lets somebody leave on time.
