Spicer's Lawn and Landscaping

About Spicer's Lawn and Landscaping

Down toward the Wolf River bottoms the ground stays damp and the grass grows differently than it does up on the ridge, and Oakland has both — sometimes in the same yard. Spicer's Lawn and Landscaping cuts to suit whichever it is, mowing on a rhythm, edging the walks and drives, trimming out the corners a mower cannot reach. Landscaping work fills the gaps: beds cleaned and mulched, shrubs cut back off the siding, overgrowth pulled away from fences. Spring and fall bring the full cleanups, the kind that change how an entire property sits. Midday in August the job is hot and unglamorous, and the yard afterward is worth every bit of it.
