About Secret City Greens Landscaping

Oak Ridge got the nickname Secret City, but there is nothing hidden about spring here — the dogwoods open along the Turnpike, the redbuds light up the wood edges, and every lawn in town wakes up hungry at once. That first cut of the year is the best one, when the mower finally gets a bite and the yard goes from shaggy to sharp in a single afternoon. From there it is a rhythm of mowing, trimming and edging held steady through the long green stretch of a Tennessee summer, with the beds kept clean and the clippings kept off the walks. By the time the ducks at Bissell Park are dodging falling leaves, the work turns to raking, hauling and putting the yard down for the season. Grass is a simple thing to love: cut it right and it says so.
