A.W. Lawn Care

About A.W. Lawn Care

Morning arrives early on Jackson Square, where the brick walks take the first light coming over Black Oak Ridge and the grass along the old terraces is still heavy with dew. A.W. Lawn Care likes that hour best — mowing while the air is cool, running the edger until the walk lines lie straight, trimming close around posts and corners no deck can reach. East Tennessee fescue grows fast in the valleys between the ridges, and keeping ahead of it is most of the craft. What's left is a yard that reads finished from the street: borders sharp, clippings cleared, the cut lying all one direction like combed cloth. Ordinary work on the hillsides of the Secret City, done all the way to the end.
