About Dirt Poor Excavation and More

An ice storm in this county shuts down the steep gravel lanes first — the ones climbing up into the hollows where a car can find no grip at all. Dirt Poor Excavation and More runs snow removal around New Tazewell when that happens, plowing drives and lots, clearing walks, putting ice control where a slope meets a road. The work happens in the dark, before the sun clears Wallen Ridge, and it ends the moment somebody can get out and go to work. Nobody sees the truck; they only see bare pavement where a sheet of glass used to be. On a cold morning, that is reward enough.
