Tree Giants

About Tree Giants

An ice night in Forest Hills is a quiet emergency. The rain turns over sometime after midnight, the hardwoods begin ticking, and by four in the morning the steep drives that climb toward the Warner Parks treeline are glass. Tree Giants runs those hours — plowing what has fallen, shoveling walks and steps, laying salt on the pitches where a car would otherwise never make the turn. There is a particular pride in being finished before the household is awake: a cleared drive, a gritted walk, a morning that goes ahead as planned. Winter here is occasional, which only makes it matter more when it arrives.
