About Green Landscape

Every few winters Murfreesboro gets the real thing, and by mid-morning the slopes at Old Fort Park are covered in sleds while the roads are covered in everything else. Green Landscape spends that day on the other side of it — plowing driveways, clearing walkways, salting the steps and pitches where a person could go down hard. The old earthworks of Fortress Rosecrans hold snow longer than the open ground, and so do north-facing drives, which is where the second pass goes. The kids get their afternoon; somebody still has to make sure the grown-ups can reach the pharmacy. Both of those are true at once, and both are worth the cold.
