About Gibbs Excavating & Grading LLC

The wide lots off Interstate 40 turn treacherous the moment ice finds them — acres of open pavement with nothing at all to slow a slide. Gibbs Excavating & Grading LLC handles snow removal on ground like that, plowing lots and drives, opening entrances and loading docks, and spreading salt where traffic packs snow down hard. Most of it happens between midnight and five: headlights, orange strobes, and the scrape of steel across asphalt. The measure of a good night is that the first shift arrives at dawn, parks where it always parks, and never gives the weather a thought. Storms are rare enough in Wilson County to count as an event, which is exactly why they cannot be met unready.
