About Long's Lawn Services

Summer treats the plateau more gently than it treats the valley — mornings begin in fog, the air stays ten degrees kinder, and the grass around Monteagle's cottages and cabins grows accordingly. Long's Lawn Services works those yards with mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup, cutting once the dew has burned off and the ground will take a wheel without scarring. Beds get tidied, walks get a defined border, and clippings get cleared off the stone and gravel that so much of this mountain is built on. Autumn brings weeks of leaf work as the hardwoods along the bluff let go in waves. It is careful, unhurried attention, and the mountain repays it — cool green yards set against sandstone and hemlock.
