About W.R.C. SERVICES

Out past Millington the land flattens and the wind crosses it unbroken, so a February cold snap bites harder up north than it ever does downtown. W.R.C. SERVICES works that edge of the county whenever winter actually lands — plowing, clearing driveways and walkways, spreading salt on the runs that stay frozen in the shade all day. There is no glamour in it, only a truck, an early alarm and a route to finish. But an opened drive on a hard morning is a genuine kindness, and anyone who has needed one knows it. The rest of the year the blade waits in the shed, which is its own kind of Memphis fact.
