Bluff City Landscape

About Bluff City Landscape

Memphis stands on the fourth Chickasaw Bluff, looking west across a mile of Mississippi River, and everything green in this city grows in that river's damp breath. Bluff City Landscape keeps yards from the bluff back inland — mowing on a weekly rhythm through a long southern growing season, edging drives and beds, trimming and clearing away what the storms leave behind. Bermuda runs hard in July, leaves come down heavy in November, and the schedule bends to whatever the ground is doing. A lawn cut clean, its lines all running the same direction toward the street, is a small kind of order held against a big humid river valley. That is the trade, and it is worth doing right.
