About Angel Kleanerz

A swept floor and a cleared walk come from the same instinct, and Angel Kleanerz carries that instinct out the front door in January. Martin evenings turn dark early and cold hard in midwinter, glazing steps and thresholds while the town is still indoors. The work is shoveling and plowing, salt at the entries, sand where a slope wants to argue — the small square footage that decides whether a place feels open or shut. Clean is not only a surface indoors; it is a walkway with no gray ridge left down the middle of it. Come morning, the path from the curb to the door reads like it was drawn with a straightedge.
