A February snow over Fort Loudoun Lake is a rare, hushed thing — the water gone slate, the far shore erased, everything quieter than East Tennessee usually allows. Native Construction works through those nights and the icy mornings behind them, clearing driveways and parking areas in Louisville and pushing the snow back off the approaches before daylight. Where the melt refreezes on a shaded slope, salt and ice treatment finish the job. The measure of it is simple: a car that gets out, a walkway nobody slips on, a business that opens on time. Then the sun comes up on all that white lying over the foothills, and for a few hours it is the prettiest place on earth.
