About Loretto Nursery & Landscaping, LLC

April is the loudest month on Loretto's short main street: dogwoods opening, everybody suddenly outdoors, the ground finally warm enough to plant. Loretto Nursery & Landscaping, LLC spends it doing what the season asks, with beds turned and mulched, shrubs set in, thin spots coaxed back to grass, and mowing started the moment the first flush of growth comes on. The rolling farm country around town gives nearly every yard a little slope, so borders are cut to follow the lay of the land instead of fighting it. Through summer the days are mowing, trimming and hedge work; by November they are leaves, cutbacks and beds tucked in ahead of the freeze. The reward is small and specific, a front yard on a Saturday morning that looks exactly the way its owner pictured it.
