About C & L Logging Inc

When cold slides down the Cumberland Plateau and the rain turns over to ice, Overton County goes quiet in a hurry. Highway 111 glazes, the ridge roads above Livingston stiffen, and the sound of the night is limbs cracking somewhere in the woods. C & L Logging Inc is out ahead of daylight in that weather — plowing drives, opening lots and walkways, putting salt down where a slope wants to send a car sideways. Winters here are short on snow and long on surprise, which is why the truck stays loaded from the first hard forecast. There is a real satisfaction in a cleared drive at six in the morning: black pavement steaming under the porch light, the day handed back to whoever lives there.
