About Steven Lowery Land Clearing

Wind crosses the open fields along Statesville Road without meeting a single thing, so when snow falls out that way it does not stay where it lands. Steven Lowery Land Clearing works those long gravel drives and farm lanes in winter — pushing snow back off the track, opening the turnaround, cutting a path wide enough for a truck and a trailer to get through. Out there a driveway can be a quarter mile of it, and half-measures get nobody to the highway. Ice gets handled where it forms, at the gate and on the grade. There is a plain pride in a lane opened all the way to the road while the fields on either side are still white.
