Plumlee's Lawn Care

About Plumlee's Lawn Care

The sycamores along Sinking Creek go bone-white in November and let everything go at once, and half of it lands in somebody's yard. Plumlee's Lawn Care runs the autumn rounds then — leaves off the turf and out of the borders, walks cleared, one last cut to send the grass into winter short and tidy. The rest of the year it is the steady work: mowing, edging along the driveway, trimming close where the mower cannot reach. Wilson County lawns wear their seasons plainly, and staying ahead of them is mostly a matter of showing up on the day you said you would. There is something satisfying about a yard raked open to the light with the year folding up around it.
