Storm season in south-central Tennessee arrives in spring with a green sky and a wind that strips the yards, and cleanup is the first work of the year. Pangle's lawn and landscape starts there and keeps going — mowing week after week, trimming the fencelines, edging drives, tending beds through the long humid stretch when everything grows twice. South toward Leoma the lots get bigger and a single mowing turns into a full day's ride. In winter that same ground gets plowed and shoveled, salt worked into the ice at the foot of the drive where it always forms. One property, tended right the whole way around the calendar.
