About Louie Prince's Tree Services.

Shoal Creek runs cold past Lawrenceburg through David Crockett State Park, and in April the valley leafs out all at once — sugar maple, walnut, sycamore leaning over the water. Louie Prince's Tree Services works the season along with it: pruning wrapped up as the buds swell, trimming limbs back from a roof or a lane, removals handled early enough that the grass closes over by July. Out toward Ethridge the buggy lanes need their clearance too, and a low limb over the shoulder is worth taking before somebody meets it. Storms out of the southwest keep the calendar honest, and the crew clears what they leave behind, down to the last drag mark raked smooth. Trees kept, mess gone, the place looking like itself again.
