All In The Garden

About All In The Garden

Spring reaches LaFollette from the low ground first and works its way up toward Indian Mountain a good week behind the valley floor. All In The Garden meets it with beds turned, mulch spread, shrubs shaped and the mowers running as soon as the grass will take a cut. Through the warm months the route is mowing, trimming and edging; through the cold ones it is plowing drives and clearing the walkways people cross every single day. A planted bed and a cleared sidewalk are really the same idea, a place made easy to move through and good to look at. These hills hand the town four honest seasons, and there is something worth doing in each of them.
