About Daniel Lawn Care Services

By nine the dew has lifted off the bottomland along Dixon Creek and the grass finally cuts the way it ought to. That is when Daniel Lawn Care Services gets rolling through Lafayette, mowing the flat yards, working the banks where Macon County ground tilts toward water, running the trimmer around every post and mailbox until nothing is left shaggy. Grass here grows in bursts, fast after a warm rain and slow through an August dry spell, so the schedule bends to the ground instead of the calendar. Autumn brings the raking and hauling, one last tidy pass before the ridges go brown. It is ordinary work done attentively, and a well-kept yard on a country road says so without a word.
