The Yard Force

About The Yard Force

Late June out toward Farragut, the light comes off Fort Loudoun Lake and up into the yards, and a lawn mowed that afternoon looks like it was combed. The Yard Force works those long evenings — cutting on a straight line, trimming the fence corners and mailbox posts, running the edger until there's a dark seam beside the walk. Knox County summers are humid and fast, and grass here grows like it's being paid to, so staying ahead of it is the whole discipline. When fall comes the job turns to leaves and cleanups, clearing a yard down to a tidy start for the cold months. Every week the same simple offer: pull into the drive, look at the yard, be glad.
