Landscape Workshop

About Landscape Workshop

Downtown Knoxville takes a snow well: the Sunsphere gone pale, Gay Street hushed, World's Fair Park a blank sheet until the first footprints cross it. Landscape Workshop is out under that quiet, plowing lots, clearing walks and entrances and laying down de-icer so the city can open on time. Commercial ground has its own logic, loading docks before storefronts, stair treads before sidewalks, the shaded alley last and then twice. Tennessee ice is thin and mean, so treatment goes ahead of the forecast wherever there is room to get ahead of it. When the plow finishes its last lap, the only tracks left on the street are the ones the buses will make.
