South Knoxville comes on all at once in April — dogwoods along the ridge trails, redbud in the seams of the Urban Wilderness, and every yard from Chapman Highway down to the river suddenly needing a mower. Tikal Lawn meets that rush week after week with mowing, trimming and edging, then keeps at it through the leaf-heavy end of the year with cleanups that let the grass breathe again. When a hard freeze finally crosses to this side of the Tennessee, the same hands turn to plowing, shoveling and salting the drives and walks that go slick under the hillside canopy. Two different kinds of work with one habit behind them: leave a place looking better than you found it. Spring always circles back, and the yards are kept ready for it.
