About Clear Creek TN

North of the city the creeks run fast and cold under Emory Road, and when a January night drops hard, everything they touch turns slick. Snow removal here is as much about ice as accumulation: plowing drives and lots when there is depth worth moving, and treating pavement when all winter has left behind is a black glaze. Clearing starts at the top of the drive and works down, walks shoveled to the step, so the first trip out in the morning lands on solid footing. A storm in East Tennessee can be four inches or a quarter inch of glass, and both get the same early start. The reward is pavement that looks like nothing ever happened to it.
