About A Step Ahead Lawn and Landscape
Buffalo Mountain holds the sun off Johnson City a little longer than the rest of the sky allows, and the mowers are already moving in that blue half-hour before it clears the ridge. A Step Ahead Lawn and Landscape works the yards of the valley below — mowing, edging along walks and drives, string trimming the fence lines, mulching beds, and hauling away the leaves once October lets go of the maples. The soil here is red clay that goes hard by August, so the work is as much about timing as it is about blades. What stays with you is the finished edge: a clean line where turf meets concrete, holding all day. It is ordinary work done in a place that is not ordinary at all.
