About Rowan Tree Care, LLC ®

A rowan is a mountain ash, and the real ones grow high in these mountains, up on the Roan where wind stunts everything else — a fitting name to work under down in the valley. Rowan Tree Care spends its days on the trees of Johnson City instead: pruning for structure while a tree is young enough to listen, trimming out the dead and the crossing limbs, taking one down when there is no honest way left to keep it. Autumn is the sweetest stretch, the ridges above town turning while the whole city smells of leaves and sawdust. After a storm the crew comes back through and clears the damage, right down to raking the last of it off the lawn. Trees outlast nearly everything else on a property, and they are treated that way here.
