About Carefree Restoration

Four in the morning, January, and the roads out toward Sulphur Springs lie pale under a sky that has finally stopped throwing snow. Carefree Restoration is out in it — plowing driveways down to asphalt and gravel, opening commercial lots before the first shift, clearing steps and walkways, and laying salt where refreeze likes to hide. Winter in Washington County is not constant, but it is sudden, and a two-inch night with ice underneath will shut a place down as fast as a foot would. The work is done when a car can back out without anybody thinking about it. Then the sun comes up over a town that is already moving.
