Major Tim's Ground Control

About Major Tim's Ground Control

On a clear June evening the Smokies stack up blue and layered south of Jefferson City, and the whole valley seems to slow down at once. Major Tim's Ground Control takes the ground itself seriously — mowing in clean parallel passes, edging along drives and walks, trimming whatever a deck cannot reach, and clearing away the season's debris. Every lawn gets a plan: cutting height set for the heat ahead, direction alternated so the turf stands rather than leans, the perimeter finished last so the yard closes with a line. It is a small kind of precision, but it is the sort you notice from the road. When the mower shuts off, the yard reads as calm, which is really all anybody wants out of a Saturday.
