Garden Kings

About Garden Kings

The Fentress County courthouse square anchors Jamestown, and spring reaches it in its own time — a few weeks behind the lowlands, then all at once. Garden Kings work that arrival with mowing, edging, trimming, bed and shrub care, mulch and seasonal cleanups, and stay on through the cold with plowing, walkway clearing and salting. A plateau yard is a negotiation with rock and shade, and the ones that look good are the ones somebody read carefully first. There is a particular pleasure in turf that finally lies flat and even where it used to be rough. Come winter that same ground gets opened up with the same care it was mowed with.
