Prosper Services

About Prosper Services

Sleet finds the parking lots first. Out along the US-45 Bypass at two in the morning, under the sodium lights, pavement goes from wet to treacherous in about twenty minutes, and Prosper Services is out in it — plow down, salt spreading, lanes reopening one pass at a time. Winter in West Tennessee is less about depth than about glaze, so the job is clearing the drives and lots and then going back over the shaded corners that refuse to let go. By the time Jackson wakes and the first cars turn in, the surface is dark and honest again and nobody has to think about it. That is the whole idea, from town out to Three Way, Medina and Oakfield.
