Brock’s Lawn, Landscape and Excavation

About Brock’s Lawn, Landscape and Excavation

South and west of Jackson the land lifts into low loess ridges, and where a blade opens the ground it comes up that particular West Tennessee red. Out that way toward Denmark and Oakfield the yards run big — an acre, two acres, a long approach off a county road — and Brock's Lawn, Landscape and Excavation cuts them the way they ought to be cut, even and unhurried, with the trimming and edging finished before the truck moves. High summer noon out there is a wall of light and cicada noise, and a mower keeps going anyway. There is nothing quite like standing at the road at the end of it and seeing a whole big property come back into order in one afternoon.
