About Lee Company

A winter storm in Middle Tennessee tends to arrive after supper and finish by midnight, leaving the whole of Sumner County to be dealt with before people start their cars. Lee Company works those overnight hours around Hendersonville, plowing drives and lots, taking walkways down to the surface, and spreading de-icer on the approaches that glaze first. Order matters more than speed — the steepest and busiest surfaces open first, and the piles go where the melt will not run back across a lane. Snow is rare enough here that nobody has practice driving on it, which makes clear pavement worth a great deal. Morning comes, traffic moves, and the night's work disappears into normal.
