Price's Excavating & Tree Service

About Price's Excavating & Tree Service

Up along Horse Creek, where the pasture runs out and the Cherokee National Forest takes over, the ground goes steep and every tree grows on a slope. Price's Excavating & Tree Service works that pitch — tree removal on hillside lots where a trunk has to come down in pieces and be skidded out, tree trimming and pruning to hold a crown off a metal roof or a gravel lane. When storms sit over the ridge and dump on Greene County, storm damage cleanup pulls the washed-in limb wood and the tops that came down across access roads. The good hours are the late ones, when the heat lets go and the last load goes on the truck with light still holding. A place always looks bigger once the mess is gone.
