Little A's Tree Service

About Little A's Tree Service

Out toward Chuckey the tobacco barns stand gray in the fields and the fencerow trees show every branch against them in late February. That gap before bud break is prime time for Little A's Tree Service — tree trimming and pruning while the sap is down, shaping young trees and easing the load on the old ones. Tree removal follows for the ones that have quit: a split-crotch silver maple, a dead ash by the hay gate, a walnut leaning at the corner of a shop. Greene County thunderstorms roll off the ridges without much notice, so storm damage cleanup keeps a place from staying broken while everybody waits their turn. What is left behind is an open lane, flat ground, and trees that will look better in May than they did in March.
