About A & J Lawncare

Gray keeps a long memory: the fossil beds uncovered beside Highway 75 hold the record of an ancient pond, layered under the same ridge-and-valley ground that now grows fescue and bluegrass. A & J Lawncare tends the newest layer of it — the yards, the green strips along the road, the lawns that climb Washington County's low hills. Mowing follows the contour here rather than fighting it, and a string trimmer finishes what the deck cannot reach. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of an afternoon, when the stripes line up and the edge along the walk runs clean as a chalk line. Leaves come down from the hardwoods in their turn, and they get gathered up too.
