Jed's Lawn Service

About Jed's Lawn Service

By late October the ground east of Goodlettsville toward Old Hickory Lake is gold and rust, and the yards are hiding under it. Jed's Lawn Service works the year up to that point and then works the leaves — mowing and trimming all summer, edges kept honest, then hauling off what the maples and hackberries drop. There's a particular hour on an autumn afternoon when a freshly cleared lawn looks lit from underneath. Spring starts it over with the first cut, when the grass is soft and the redbuds are out along the fencerows. Steady hands, week after week, is all it takes to keep a place looking cared for.
