The Yard Boy

About The Yard Boy

The old streets of Hincheyville run under big shade trees, and on a Saturday afternoon in May every picket fence along Fifth Avenue has grass leaning up against it. Those yards are small and particular, full of corners and fence posts a wide deck cannot reach, so the trimmer does nearly as much of the work as the mower. The Yard Boy keeps them cut, edged, trimmed and blown clean from curb to porch steps. Franklin holds onto its front-yard neighborhoods, the kind where people sit outside in the evening and notice what changed. A crisp edge along an old sidewalk is a small thing that makes a whole block look looked-after.
