About Southern Gardens
There is a covered bridge in the middle of Elizabethton with a little park beside it, and by May that park sets the tone for every yard in town. Southern Gardens keeps pace with the growing season the way the older places demand — grass cut on time, trimmed neatly along walls and walks, edges held so the turf stops where it should. Under deep porches and long-standing shade trees, mowing asks for a lighter touch and a closer eye. The result is a lawn that flatters the house instead of competing with it. In autumn the leaf work carries on until the ground is clear and the shape of the yard shows again.
