About Ridge and Root Landscaping Co. LLC

Autumn comes late to this valley and then all at once — one week the sweetgums along the South Chickamauga Creek greenway are green, the next they are every color a crayon box holds. That is the busiest stretch of the lawn year in East Ridge: final cuts taken lower as growth slows, leaves pulled off the turf before they mat it down, beds and edges tidied, fescue given its shot at the cool weather it has waited on all summer. Through the warm months it is the steady rhythm of mowing, edging, trimming and blowing off, week after week. Ridge and root are both the point — what shows from the curb, and what is happening underneath it. A lawn put to bed properly in November is the reason April looks easy.
