About Dunlap Stone Inc

January in the valley has a color all its own — stone gray, sky gray, the gravel lots and shoulder edges around Dunlap all one shade until snow gives them an outline. Dunlap Stone Inc works those winters, plowing lots and driveways, opening walkways and spreading ice melt where a night's freeze has glassed the surface. Big flat ground is honest work: you can see exactly what you did, banked clean at the margins, the whole yard usable by opening time. There is a quiet pleasure in pavement that shows no seam of slush. Dunlap, Sequatchie and south toward Whitwell.
