Campbell's Tree Service

About Campbell's Tree Service

Fog settles the length of the Sequatchie Valley overnight and burns off in strips, so Dunlap wakes up in pieces — the coke ovens field first, then the ridge road, then the far wall of the mountain. Campbell's Tree Service works that valley floor and the benches above it: removals, trimming, pruning, and clearing up after wind pours off Walden Ridge with nowhere else to go. Hang gliders come off Henson Gap on the good afternoons, which is one way to learn how air moves here; the other is noticing which trees always lose their tops. Sequatchie County yards run narrow between the mountains, and a tree dropped carelessly has plenty to hit. Dropped right, all it leaves behind is more sky over the garden.
