About Calvin's Excavating and Lawn Services, LLC

Past the last streetlight, Dunlap gives way to hayfield and fencerow, and the grass comes on fast in bottomland where the valley soil runs deep. Calvin's Excavating and Lawn Services, LLC keeps that growth in hand with mowing, string trimming, edging and haul-off of what the blades leave behind, on house lawns and on the wide rough lots that come with a country place. Late June the work is mostly rhythm — pass after pass, the color darkening behind the machine. The payoff is walking back out to the road and looking at a place that has gone tidy all at once. They range across Dunlap and the roads toward Daus and Sequatchie.
