Burns Garden Center

About Burns Garden Center

Out toward Burns the road bends past the tree line of Montgomery Bell State Park, where the water at Lake Acorn goes pewter in January and comes back green by May. Burns Garden Center keeps both ends of that year: mowing, trimming and edging while the ridges are loud with growth, then plowing, shoveling and treating the ice at the steps once a hard cold snap glazes a driveway overnight. Snow here is an occasional guest that arrives all at once, so the work is really about being up before the sun is. Beds and lawns get the same eye either way — the borders kept honest, the lot scraped down to pavement.
