About Adams Randy

Coalmont is named for the coal once dug out of the Cumberland Plateau, and the town keeps its place on that high sandstone tableland in Grundy County, where winter bites harder than in the valleys below. When snow sweeps across the mountain, it drifts along the roads that lead out toward Savage Gulf and lies deep in the hollows by morning. Adams Randy provides snow removal in Coalmont, clearing driveways and walks so folks can get down off the mountain or just across town. It's unglamorous, deeply useful work: a lane cut through the drift, a path shoveled to the porch, the snow heaped neatly where it won't block the way. With the cold sharp enough to sting and the sky turning pink above the bluffs, an opened driveway is a welcome thing to wake to.
