About A & R Outdoor Specialty Services Inc

Up on the Cumberland Plateau the snow means it — Morgan County can hold four inches while the valley below is only getting rain. A & R Outdoor Specialty Services works those plateau mornings, plowing the long drives off the Coalfield roads, shoveling walks and steps, salting the grades that freeze first and thaw last. Banks get pushed well back, because up here a second storm often follows close behind the first. The mountain keeps its weather for days at a stretch; the point of the work is that people can still get to where they're going. There is nothing quite like the sight of one dark, open lane running out through all that white.
