Hooks Lawn And More

About Hooks Lawn And More

Saturday morning downtown moves slow — brick storefronts with the doors propped open, somebody crossing to the drugstore counter, a mower running two streets over. Hooks Lawn And More is often that mower, cutting, edging, trimming and picking up the odd yard jobs that fall under "and more," the cleanups and upkeep nobody else got to. A town this size runs on people who will handle the small thing. The reward is plain enough: a lawn even to the curb, the trimmings blown off the walk, a yard ready for company. Clinton and its neighbors, one Saturday after another.
