About TurfScapes of Tennessee

A January morning on Keith Street: lots empty, light gone flat and gray, a thin sheet of ice where yesterday's slush refroze overnight. TurfScapes of Tennessee is out plowing those approaches, shoveling the entry walks and laying salt so the day can open on time. Six months later the same routes run through deep summer grass — mowing, edging, trimming the fence lines, blowing the clippings off the drive before leaving. Cleveland's year swings hard between those two pictures, and the pleasure of it is meeting each one on its own terms. From Paul Huff out toward Charleston the roads stay the same; only what is on the trailer changes.
