About Wentling Construction

Snow falling on the old brick along the downtown rail corridor makes Clarksville look like a photograph of itself — every loading dock and alley smoothed over and gone quiet. Wentling Construction is out in it, plowing lots and drives, opening walkways and dock aprons, salting the ramps where footing goes first. Working around buildings means knowing where to put the snow so it is not in somebody's way come Tuesday. Hand shovels finish what a blade cannot reach — steps, thresholds, the narrow gaps between parked trucks. Come morning the doors open on schedule and the street looks the way it did back in November.
