The Lawn Connection

About The Lawn Connection

Two inches of snow closes the schools in Clarksville, and by seven the cul-de-sacs out toward Kirkwood are full of kids and stranded sedans. The Lawn Connection spends those mornings plowing driveways, cutting a walkway clear from the door to the street, and salting the pitch of a drive so nobody slides down into the curb. There is a rhythm to a snow route — the same houses, the same order, the shortest way to get everybody moving again. Parking areas get pushed and stacked out of the path of the melt. The sledding can go on all afternoon; the driveway is somebody's job.
